Intro
For audio manufacturer 1MORE, value is the name of the game. The 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 is the cheapest of the previous four models in terms of price. At a surprisingly low price, these earphones’ rapid charging and water resistance suggest that it offers a high level of performance, but it doesn’t mean that the ComfoBuds 2 doesn’t have its own set of issues.
Is the 1MORE ComfoBuds Pro worth the extra money, or does this set of truly wireless earbuds provide significant value for money? Let’s find out in this timely review.
Who should purchase the new 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 earphone?
- Customers on a tight budget should consider this earbud because of its excellent performance at a low cost.
- With its default sound, the ComfoBuds 2 is sure to please bass-lovers.
- The 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 sweat-resistant earbuds are an excellent choice for the gym.
Design Features of the ComfoBuds 2
If you don’t pay attention to the front of the package, you could think the ComfoBuds 2 is like previous models, with the same hues, same design, and even water and sweat resistance are the same as IPX5. The same slender pointed shape with a long stem. The only differences I saw were a smaller top microphone grille and a more matte overall appearance. Other than that, the only enhancements available are hidden under the plastic covering.

The charging case seems to be the only thing that hasn’t been damaged. To preserve and show off your bud collection, you’ll get an airbrushed logo on an extended piece of plastic. The front includes an LED, while the rear has a USB-C charging connector, and the interior contains a manual pairing button. If you drop it, be cautious since the cover is thin and not very sturdy.
The design of the ComfoBuds 2 is based on the AirPods; however, these buds are more comfortable to wear. They don’t go completely into your ear canal, but they’re just deep enough so that the silicone ear tips form a good seal and keep your ears securely in place. They will come off during lateral-heavy sessions, which is why I’m not suggesting you can work out with them. At the very least, you’ll be able to stroll across a sewage drain without fearing that your feet may become stuck.
ComfoBuds 2 and AirPods are neck-and-neck in terms of comfort. After approximately an hour of usage, my ear was irritated from the sound port protruding from the front of my ear.

Controlling the 1MORE earphone
Playback and phone calls are controlled by swiping the earbuds on either side. If you want to keep the earphones in your ear, you have to touch the stem of the earbuds, not the main section of the earbuds. Even if the 1MORE MUSIC app’s in-ear recognition is deactivated, music is automatically paused when the headphones are removed from the ears.

Is it necessary to get the 1MORE MUSIC App?
In contrast to prior 1MORE earbuds models, the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 contains essential software functions via the 1MORE MUSIC app. Earbud and charging case battery life are shown, and the opportunity to download new firmware from the home screen. Music playing, volume control, or voice control can be configured from the earbuds’ touch controls.
These earphones’ sound quality relies heavily on their EQ settings. But you can choose from 12 settings that drastically vary the frequency response of the headphones. As a bonus, 1MORE has a gaming mode that minimizes earbud latency, making it ideal for viewing films. You may also choose various calming sounds to aid concentration, relaxation, or sleep.
The 1MORE ComfoBuds 2: Bluetooth codecs?
SBC and AAC are both supported by the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2. High-end Bluetooth codecs like aptX aren’t supported, but Apple device users will be happy to know that AAC provides excellent audio playback quality. Android devices’ AAC codecs are notoriously unreliable, but the SBC codec is enough for most users.
How long is the battery life of the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2?
Using the case, 1MORE says that the earphones can last for six hours before needing a new charge. In our battery tests, the earbuds lasted for 6 hours and 41 minutes with continuous listening at 75dB, consistent with this claim (SPL). In addition, quick charging may provide 3 hours of playing time in only 15 minutes of charging.

Remember that the lithium-ion batteries in true wireless earphones deteriorate with time. It is doubtful that you will receive more than two or three years of usage from your earphones if you use them often. Anyone looking for eco-friendly headphones should know that real wireless buds don’t fit in.

Sound System
Does the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 effectively filter out the noise?
Considering the low price of this headset, the dynamic composite drivers with a diameter of 13.4 mm produced an amazingly coherent and strong sound on my iPhone.
Boris Blank and Malia’s “Celestion Echo” had good low bass and felt spatial. On the other hand, “Morph the Cat” (Donald Fagen) was noticeably lacking in bass. At higher playback settings, the ComfoBuds 2 can still provide a loud sound, which will not bother the person sitting next to you.

They also accomplished a balanced sound picture in the mid-range: pop, techno, forceful AC/DC hard rock, and violent metal recordings were authentically reproduced by ComfoBuds 2. In contrast, the high-mid frequencies seemed very harsh, and the acoustic instruments and vocals seemed cold. As a result, these headphones weren’t great for listening to jazz, singer/songwriter, or even classical music.
There will be no silvery treble overtones. Additional speed, detail resolution, and three-dimensionality are provided by the ComfoBuds 2 in addition to the center information. However, they sounded a bit harsh in the middle of the spectrum.
Expecting audiophile performance at this pricing point is understandable. Noise levels were reduced because of the fit, reducing the ability of subtle details to be discerned. Especially on mobile devices, explicitly dynamic works failed to impress me. I’d advise you to check out the headphones before making a purchasing decision.
The equalizer pre-sets provided by Sonarworks failed to impress me when I tried them out. Because of their intensity, they were too prominent in the higher frequencies of the spectrum in complicated mixes. Because of this, I would have chosen a self-adjusting solution.
When we called one other during text, we were blown away by the clarity of our voices. The four microphones and integrated noise reduction technology ensured that I could always understand what was being said during phone calls.

How good is the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2’s microphone?
The 1MORE ComfoBuds 2’s microphone is adequate for making and receiving phone calls while on the move. The 1MORE ComfoBuds 2’s stem form brings microphones closer to your lips, allowing them to better isolate your speech from surrounding noise.
A pair of earphones equipped with four ENC microphones blocks out ambient sounds. In our second microphone test below, the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 may be heard attenuating simulated office background noise.
1MORE ComfoBuds 2 Vs. 1MORE ComfoBuds Pro
The 1MORE ComfoBuds Pro is a little more expensive, but it offers more control over ambient noise. The larger ear tips give a tighter seal for better passive isolation, while the active noise canceling quiets low frequencies.
You can’t change the sound of the Pro model with EQ until you buy the new Aurora Blue version, which includes EQ capability. On sale for $75, the 1MORE ComfoBuds Pro has been around for a while and is just $15 more expensive than the ComfoBuds 2.
Is the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 worth your money?
The 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 is a decent bargain buy if you don’t intend on listening in noisy places and remember to modify the default EQ setting. The 1MORE ComfoBuds 2 earbuds are comfy, portable, and water-resistant, making them ideal for chucking your workout bag or backpack. You won’t have to worry about losing or destroying your earphones at this price point, as you could if you were carrying about $300 earbuds like the Sony WF-1000XM4.
For the price, you can expect nothing but a basic set of earbuds from 1MORE, which lacks features like wireless charging and high-quality materials. At this price, we’re not going to fuss over the tiniest details.
Alternatives to the 1MORE ComfoBuds 2
The ComfoBuds 2 aren’t the only budget-friendly set of truly wireless earphones worth considering. The Edifier TWS1 stands out for its excellent connectivity and sound quality for less than $40. There is no app support, but you get the same IPX5 rating as the ComfoBuds 2, a good frequency response, and aptX.
Check out the Anker Soundcore Life A1 if you’re looking for great exercise earphones at a comparable price. In addition to being comfortable and long-lasting, these earphones also have features like wireless charging and mono listening. You can acquire a great set of training earphones for a few dollars extra, like the Jabra Elite 3. IP55 certification and decent sound quality with some bass bump are all included in Jabra’s line of earbuds.
